News: Scholarship Winners 2026


Texas Bay received many impressive scholarship applications this year. We were inspired by every applicant’s story, achievements, and goals. After carefully reviewing each application, our panel has selected the five 2026 Texas Bay Scholarship recipients. Each recipient will be awarded $3,000 towards their tuition.

 

Lisa Le

A senior at Channelview High School, Lisa will pursue a Bachelor of Science in Biochemical and Biophysical Sciences at the University of Houston. As a dual-enrolled student, she is also graduating with an Associate of Science from San Jacinto College. Lisa serves as President of HOSA-Future Health Professionals and is an active member of the Channelview Interact Rotary Club, National Honor Society, and Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy. Graduating at the top of her class, Lisa’s accomplishments include AP Scholar, Finalist in the HOSA Healthcare Issues and CPR/First Aid exams, and High Honor Roll for four consecutive years.

 

Dylan Campbell

Dylan is graduating from William B. Travis High School with plans to study Electrical Engineering with Computing at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As a future engineer, he competes in coding and engineering competitions, serves as Vice President of the Junior National Society of Black Engineers, and independently develops innovative projects in his home lab. Dylan is also captain of the varsity basketball team and gives back through mentorship programs like Ambush, National Beta Club, and Houston Jumpers AAU. He is a member of the National Honor Society and an AP Scholar with Distinction.

 

Claire White

A senior at Clear Springs High School, Claire plans to study business at Texas A&M University. She has demonstrated academic excellence as a Superintendent’s Scholar and is a member of the National English, Spanish, and Science National Honor Societies. She also serves as Secretary for the National Honor Society. Claire is a member of the Clear Springs Silverados Dance Team and the President of the Razzmatazz Dance Team. She also serves her community through the National Charity League, where she has held roles as President and VP of Philanthropy.

 

Melanie Perez Ruiz

Melanie is graduating at the top of her class from CTE Early College High School with plans to study Mathematics at Texas A&M University. Enrolled as a dual-credit student at San Jacinto College, she is also set to graduate this spring with an Associate of Arts in Business. Melanie’s leadership roles include Vice President of the National Honor Society and representative on the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Board. She placed 5th in the UIL Copy Editing Contest and 1st in the GPISD Spanish Spelling Bee.

 

Melody Ziaee

After graduating from Clear Lake High School, Melody will major in Biology as a pre-med student at the University of Texas at Austin. Her academic accomplishments include the UT Austin Dean’s Scholar, Superintendent’s Scholar, and AP Scholar with Distinction. Beyond her studies, Melody serves as a board member for the American Red Cross Houston Chapter, Vice President of HOSA-Future Health Professionals, and a mentor with STEM Siblings. She also serves as a Research Task Force Chair for the Migration Youth and Children Platform.
