Proudly Serving Houston for 90 YearsMay 12, 2026, marks Texas Bay Credit Union's 90th anniversary as a trusted financial partner founded for Houstonians, by Houstonians. Looking back on the last nine decades, we and our members have had an incredible journey so far.
Originally chartered as Houston Sinclair Refinery Employees' Credit Union, Texas Bay began operations on May 12, 1936, in the Sinclair Refinery plant. The credit union served as a lifeline for the refinery workers during the Great Depression, giving them access to financial services and support not typically available to them by traditional banks at the time. More importantly, as a credit union, the institution was owned by the very people it served, giving the refinery employees a way to collectively protect their financial health during the harshest economic conditions. Since then, we have grown to serve the entire Greater Houston area, but our "people helping people" philosophy remains unchanged. Nine decades later, we still place our members first, and their financial success remains our highest priority. |

*$90 for 90 Years Prize Drawing (Monthly) -
TBCU will randomly draw 4 winners each month June - December, 2026 for our $90 for 90 years prize drawing. Officials and employees of the Credit Union and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in this Drawing. No purchase necessary to win. Winners will be chosen and contacted via the email they have on file with their TBCU account before the 25th of each month. The $90.00 will be automatically deposited into the members primary share (savings) account at the credit union within 3 business days from the date the email is sent to the winner. Individuals must be a primary member in good standing in order to be eligible to receive their prize. If your account is reviewed and it's found you do not meet prize eligibility requirements, one of our member service staff will reach out to you to discuss your account. The certificate and information included in the email is a notification only and holds no monetary value and cannot be redeemed for funds. The Credit Union may discontinue this offer at any time.
**$900 Monthly Grand Prize Drawing: To enter $900 monthly drawing, you must earn points each month to earn entries into the drawing. Earn points into the drawing. Two ways to earn points: 1. Earn one point a month for having a minimum of one direct deposit of $250.00 or more into your TBCU checking account that month. 2. Fund a new qualifying loan with Texas Bay in the month for the drawing. All new mortgage, home equity, auto loan, personal loan types offered by TBCU are eligible except for internal refinances and indirect auto loans. Requires approval. Mortgages, Home Equity Loans, Auto Loans, Perks Checking accounts, and Premium Perks Checking accounts opened prior to the promotional period are not eligible for this Drawing. Monthly winner will be contacted by the 15th of the month. (Example: Close on a new auto loan and receive a direct deposit over $250 in TBCU checking account in May and you earn two entries into June drawing. Winner of the June drawing will be contacted by June 15th via email and phone call.) Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. Only members of Texas Bay Credit Union in good standing and other persons within the Credit Union’s field of membership 18 or older are eligible to participate in the monthly drawing. Membership is required before utilizing any Credit Union product or service by establishing a savings account with $1. Officials and employees of the Credit Union and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the monthly Drawing. No purchase necessary to win. To submit an entry without purchase or obligation, a handwritten form must be on a 3”x5” index card to include your name, address, your Texas Bay Credit Union member account number (if applicable), telephone number, date of birth, and the last 4 digits of your social security number. Each entry must be mailed to Texas Bay Credit Union, Attn: Marketing/$900 for 90 Years Monthly Drawing, 12611 Fuqua St, Houston, TX 77034. Must be postmarked by the last day of each earning month for entry into the next months drawing. Limit one manual entry per person. The Credit Union assumes no responsibility for late, incomplete, stolen, or illegible entries. The Credit Union may discontinue this offer at any time. Promotional period is May 1st, 2026 to November 30th, 2026. First prize awarded in June for entries earned in May and last monthly prize awarded in December for entries earned in November.
